As a church we currently partner with 17 missionaries, organisations and churches from the UK and around the world who are fulfilling the great commission to go into all the world.
COMPASSIONGlobal Partner - Child Sponsorship
Compassion releases children from poverty in Jesus' name and for over 68 years they have been giving children the opportunity to escape the suffering and fear poverty brings. Working in partnership with local churches in developing countries, they link children in critical need with a caring sponsor, enabling the provision of exceptional care for the sponsored child through every stage of their childhood. As of summer 2020 159 children are being sponored by members of King's Church, many of them attending the same project in Ethiopia.
WATER FOR THE WORLDKenya - Sanitation
Water for the World is dedicated to assisting underserved communities' access clean water. Since 2007 they have installed more than 200 water systems in some of the most remote areas of Kenya. King's has partnered by funding these water systems and providing for these communities practically.
GABRIEL AND DANIELLA CORRADINISpain - Church Planting
For over 20 years Gabriel and Daniella Corradini have been planting and pastoring churches in the former mining heartlands of verdant Asturias in northern Spain, where the charming facades of many ancient towns and villages hide much post-industrial deprivation. Churches have been planted in Mieres, Aviles, Piedras Blancas, Cudillero, Tineo and Cangas del Narcea. Since 2015, King's have been sending out a mission team every 2 years to assist in public outreach including street evangelism as well as to encourage believers at the church plants.
BARRY WOODWARD (Proclaim Trust)UK - Evangelism
After fifteen years of heroin addiction and spending a number of terms in prison Barry was miraculously saved leading him to become an evangelist. Barry preaches the gospel in a humourous, passionate and inspirational way in churches across the nation. He also reaches in to prisons, distributing, to date 47,000 copies of his autobiography, 'Once an Addict' free of charge to prionsers. Proclaim Trust's facilitates the purpose to inspirationally communicate the message of hope throughout the UK.
BETHANY CHRISTIAN TRUSTScotland - Homelessness
Bethany Christian Trust is committed to ending homelessness in Scotland, one person at a time. They currently support nearly 7,000 people in Scotland. With Bethany’s support vulnerable people are encouraged to tackle underlying issues that surround homelessness such as poverty, poor welfare, addictions, unemployment, lack of education and social exclusion. For nearly a decade we have partnered with Bethany Christian Trust in running a weekly lunch drop in supporting those in our local community.
Kenya - Social Justice
We've been partnering with Sami and Paula Konttinen for a number of years to support their work in rural schools and the slums in Kenya.
South East Asia - Social Action
Socioeconomic improvement projects are run in remote, deprived communities in mainland South East Asia especially amongst Christians who also received discipleship simultaneously.
Togo - Social Action
Philomene Essi returned from Scotland to her homeland in 2016 to continue the church planting mission and socioeconomic improvement program for the rural communities in Afeye that her late sister had begun.
Iceland - Church
Chris Parker travels all over Iceland to build up and minister to local churches including in remote communities. He has also been working with the Icelandic Royal Rangers which offer to children a Christian, uniformed, practical-based program involving scouting-type activities and adventure in the outdoors. King's have sent teams out to serve the local church network and to work with the youth in recent years.
India - Church Planting
Under the leadership of Pastor Augustine Manickathan, local pastors are being trained to preach the Gospel and lead churches in their own tribal communities in North India.
Europe - Church
For much of their lives, Ken and Jocelyn Acheson have been travelling far and wide in Europe to preach the gospel at crusades in diverse churches in various countries including Spain, Italy, Poland as well as in Switzerland where they are based. At an age when their peers are contentedly retired, the Achesons are still on the road fulfilling their calling.
Global - Social Justice
There are 40+ million people in currently in the multibillion dollar industry of slavery. 1 in 4 victims of modern day slavery is a child. IJM is a global organisation that seeks to free people trapped in slavery by rescuing and restoring victims, bringing criminals to justice and strenghtening justice systems.
South Asia - Evangelism
Geoff and Sue Smith and their team on the ground run a diverse program of evangelistic outreach in areas in South Asia where conditions are extremely challenging and often dangerous. The outreach brings the gospel to closed communities through literature and various forms of multimedia.
North East Scotland - Social Action
The King’s Community Foundation was founded in 2010 through the vision of several members of King’s Church Aberdeen, with a desire to make a difference to communities both in Aberdeen and across the world. We realise that when people thrive, the communities they live in thrive.The Foundation currently runs the Aberdeen North Foodbank and projects such as 'Overhaul the Overalls.'
North East Scotland - Addiction Recovery
Teen Challenge North East Scotland offers freedom to men and women of all ages who are battling life-destroying addictions. Founded in 2003 they now have two centres - a men's centre in Sunnybrae and a womens centre, Benaiah. It's our privilege to have the men from Sunnybrae with us during our sunday morning services.
UK - Business Outreach
P3 Business Care is a social enterprise operating across the UK, providing ‘care, support & encouragement to your people at work’. Business Pastors bring proactive and personal employee care to the corporate business environment in a practical way. P3 is the initiative of King's member, Jim Grimmer.
Glasgow - Church
Stephen and Aline Robbins have recently taken on the leadership of Springburn AOG Church in the North of Glasgow. King's began partnering with the Robbins in 2020. Website: www.springburnaog.org.uk
Glasgow - Church Planting
Located in the East of Glasgow, Easterhouse Community Church reaches one of the most deprived areas in Scotland. King's has been partnering with this church plant for several years as it has grown to be a beacon of hope in this community.
North East Scotland - Church Planting
Mintlaw Community Church - a church at the heart of Buchan - begain in 2012. Since that time a strong core of people now call this their church home. The church reaches into the rural community around.
